Complete all the information. Choose a proper category, upload the photos of your item, and write a clear title with a detailed description of what you're selling. After that, enter a fair price and double-check the information you've entered;

If everything looks fine, click on the "Post Ad" button;

As soon as you're done with all these steps, your advert goes for a review. We check it to ensure that it's in line with our rules and that all the information is correct. Once your advert is live, you will receive a notification email. If there's something wrong, we'll specify all the edits you should make.

You will receive your money when shipment and delivery is confirmed. We will pay the money into the banking information you provide to us.

 

7. What is required to receive a payment when goods are sold?

You are required to confirm your identity by submitting your My Number Card or a Valid ID card or Passport and your bank account information.

 

8. How much GaijinMall charge for sold items?

We charge 10% on every item sold on GaijinMall plus extra 220yen to transfer money into your account.

When you cancel your order after payment we charge another 220yen to process refund.

 

9. Why GaijinMall don't provide phone support for order and cancellation?

You are required to send us all the evidence in pictures or screenshots and all the details we may need to assist you, it's clear that we're able to do that in a more efficient manner through chat and email. 13. Do you have any stores?

No, as we are not a shop. GaijinMall is the marketplace — here you can sell your stuff, buy goods from real people, find a job or services you need. Any deal you make, you make with people. And we exist just to help you find each other.

 

14. Do you offer delivery?

Yes, the seller will use a comfortable and secured way to deliver your order when payment is confirmed by GaijinMall, we will immediately ask seller to ship your order. The seller will update you with tracking number when your order is shipped.

 

15. I've posted my advert but I can't find it on GaijinMall, Why?

At first, don't worry! If you've faced such a situation, we recommend:

1. Wait a bit while your ad is under review. It's quite possible that our moderators are checking your advert and it will appear in search results within a few hours.

2. Check your inbox. You will receive a notification when your advert goes live. If there is something you should edit, we'll specify that as well.

Important! If you make some changes to your advert, it will go for review again. It won't be shown in search results while we're checking it.

 

To check the statuses of all your aderts or make edits to them, sign in to your GaijinMall account and click on "My Adverts".

 

16. What happens after I click on "Post ad"?

After you fill in all the required fields and click on "Post Ad" your advert goes for review. Our moderators will check it carefully to ensure that it's in line with our rules and that all the fields are filled out correctly.

 

1. You will get a notification email when your advert is active. If something is wrong, we'll notify you about that and specify everything you should edit.

2. As soon as your advert passes the review it goes live on the platform. Before that moment, GaijinMall users won't be able to see it in search results.

3. You can always manage your adverts by signing in to your GaijinMall account and clicking on "My Adverts".

4. Even if your advert is live you can still edit it if needed. Please note that if you make some changes to your advert, it will go for review again. It won't be shown in search results while we're checking it. 

5. You can also edit or delete your advert any time you want. You just have to click on the "Delete Ad" button placed under the advert at My Adverts Page. Be sure to delete your adverts when your goods are sold. Buyers will appreciate that a lot ;)

6. Avoid publishing adverts with the same content. They will be considered duplicates and won’t go live on the platform.

 

17. Posting rules

1. Add a precise title for each advert;

2. Make sure you add a brief and clear description without any false information about your advert;

3. Every advert should contain unique images taken by you without any contact information or watermarks;

4. Make sure you choose an appropriate category for your advert. Be attentive to selecting categories for jobs and CVs. Employers should choose 'Jobs" category for posting vacancies, while job seekers should choose 'Seeking Work CVs". If you mention the wrong category, we may reject your advert;

5. The prices of your items must correspond to the actual prices of similar products;

6. Indicate correct contact details so that your potential customers can reach you easily. Try to respond to all the incoming messages calls always message back your customers once it's possible;

7. All posted products and services must be located in Japan;

8. All items and products must be legally permitted (you can check the list of our prohibited items);

9. Publish all items for sale separately. There is a rule: “1 advert = 1 item”;

10. Create different adverts. If the adverts are identical, we consider them duplicates and may reject them.

 

18. Tips for creating an effective advert

If you really want to create a great ad, we highly recommend you following the tips below:

1. Write your tittle clearly title and includes the name of the item you are selling. Try to make your title appealing and simple.

2. Set an appropriate price for your products or services so that the advert will approved. If the price is not relevant, it may be declined. Make sure to carry out some investigation of the prices for a particular item.

3. The description of your product must be informative enough and must not contain any false information regarding your product or service.

4. Upload only unique and high-quality photos of your product or service taken by you and not downloaded from the Internet. The better photos you add, the more attractive your advert will look to the potential buyers and the more messages and calls you will receive.

5.  Indicate correct contact details for the potential buyers/clients to be able to understand you easily. Try to respond all the incoming messages and calls.

6. Try to fill out all the fields of your profile page, as well as those of your advert, to let your customers understand of all the information about you as a seller and the products you sell.

7. The better rating you have on GaijinMall, the more chances you get to attract a lot of buyers. Remember that it is important to build trust in your business. Your rating depends on the number of positive/negative feedback received from your previous customers.

19. Prohibited items on GaijinMall

Users shall comply with all applicable laws, the Terms of Use, and all posted Platform rules and policies.

.Any goods that do not comply with standards and quality requirements imposed on such goods by applicable law of Japan;

14. Any products that are described as a treatment, preventative, or cure for diseases, disorders, or abnormal physical states specified by applicable law of Japan.

If you have noticed any adverts promoting prohibited items, please report them.

 

20. My advert has been declined. Why?

No worries, it can be fixed! Our moderators could decline your ad for several reasons:

1. You've tried to post a few items within one advert. Please post each item separately. We have a rule: 1 advert = 1 product or service.

2. You've posted nudity pictures or images containing contact details, watermarks, etc. Please, remove them and add real photos of the item you intend to sell.

3. You've set an irrelevant price. Make sure to carry out some investigation of market value and input a fair price for your product.

Make the required edits and click on the "Post ad" button. If everything is fine, your ad will be live within an hour or two.

 

 

21. Can I share adverts on Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp?

Sure! It helps a lot to find more clients. If you want to share an advert on social media, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your GaijinMall account;

2. Go to My adverts;

3. Click on the advert you want to share;

4. Scroll down you will see Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and Email icons;

5. Click on a particular icon to be able to share the link.

That's it! Now you know what to do to make all your friends on social networks know what you're selling!

 

22. How long will my adverts stay on GaijinMall?

Your adverts remain on the GaijinMall website up to 6months if it is on a promo plan but ordinary post advert runs  for 1-3 months (since the date of the last renewal) before they are automatically deleted or until you decide to deactivate them. But Adverts that’s on Paid promo plan will stay up to 6 months until its promo Plans expired.

Please note that you can always update your advert if you haven't sold your item.

 

 

23. How can I protect myself from being scammed?

We listed a few general tips that can help you protect yourself from unscrupulous sellers:

 

1. Check Feedback

It helps to ensure the person is reliable. People who had experiences with particular sellers leave reviews to keep others informed of how deals went. Take a minute to check reviews before making a deal. Whatever experience you have had, other buyers will appreciate you sharing it with them. Remember to view the "Feedback" section whenever you have or plan to deal with a seller or service provider.

2. Avoid sending payments to the seller direct

Always use or check out system for payment for your safety. Please contact the seller an ask questions about the product's condition and confirm the availability of the products and services with the seller before making payment in GaijinMall

3. Check and confirm your order when received.

When your order is delivered quickly inspects the item and leaves a feedback about the seller.

4. Never give out your financial information that can be misused

Always use GaijinMall checkout when making payments. Be attentive and avoid scams and frauds such as fake payment services, fee requests, or requests to use money transfer services.

5. Use common sense

Please, avoid anything that appears too good to be true, such as unrealistically low prices or promises of quick money.

2. Filter available offers: specify your preferred salary range, type of job (full time, part-time, contract, or internship), and location if it's important;

Publish your CV

1. Click on the button  SELL;

2. Choose category "Seeking Work CVs" and suitable subcategory (career field);

3. Complete all relevant information, such as job type, employment status, previous work experience, skills, etc.;

4. Double-check if everything is correct and click on the "Post Ad" button.

There are a few ways how to find candidates on GaijinMall. Try both to be sure you hire your dream employee as soon as possible.

Search for CVs

 

1. Go to the  "Seeking Work CVs" section;

2. Filter available CVs: specify job type, salary range, age, gender, or location — whatever you consider as essential criteria;

3. Check out potential candidates and contact the relevant ones via chat or phone.

Publish your job opening

1. Click on the button  SELL;

31. How long does it take to get my refund back once I cancel my transaction?

It will take up to 30 days to 60 days for the payment to appear in your bank account, especially when payment is made by credit card.

32. What are the different mode of payment supported in Gaijinmall?

Currently Gaijinmall supports Bank tranfers and Card Payments. If you select Bank Transfer mode, then Generate transfer invoice, it will have a list of all items you are paying for, at the bottom of the invoice, you will see the account official account number, after a successful transfer, click on "Payment unconfirmed" button, we will then receive the request and revert when we confirm the payment.

33. When will the money from GaijinMall Sales Proceeds be transferred?

Sales proceeds from GaijinMall are generally transferred to your registered account at the end of the month and on the 10th of the following month. The amount to be transferred is the amount obtained by subtracting three things from the sales proceeds: ``Sales fee'', and ``Transfer fee''. You can easily check your sales proceeds from my page.

34. How much is the fee for transferring money from GaijinMall to my bank?

If you wish to apply for a transfer, please complete the procedure from the app. The transfer fee is 200 yen. This fee will be charged each time, regardless of the financial institution or the amount applied. The maximum amount for transfer requests per business day is as follows.

35. How will the money I sell on GaijinMall be transferred?

The transfer will be made in the following steps:

  1. The product sells
  2. Ship the product
  3. Update the shipping tracking number
  4. On the GaijinMall transaction screen, press the "Notify the buyer that the item has been shipped" button then the Sales proceeds are recorded.
  5. GaijinMall will start the payment process when the item is delivered.
  6. The transfer amount for that month will be determined at the end of the month and will be paid on the 10th of the following month.
